To Whom It May Concern:
Hello, my name is Keith, and I’m writing today because I’m in need of getting some financial assistance from anybody who is able and willing to help. I know that there are people out there in the world today with giving hearts, people who have compassion for those in need. I am one of those people myself and have been known to help others with finances, a helping hand, a listening ear, etc when I have had the resources, time, and patience to do so.
Today, though, I am the one with a need. I have been struggling financially for the past few years but haven’t actually asked for help until now (except from family, and to date I haven’t been able to pay them back and cannot ask for more. I’ve exhausted all of my known resources, especially with them). I don’t know where else to go now or what to do or how to go about asking whoever for help short of standing on a street corner with a sign around my neck (which is something I’ve never done because of the utter embarrassment of it and being too proud to do so). Then it occurred to me to try the Internet!!!
Anyhow, for at least the past couple of years now I have been living paycheck to paycheck and have not been able to get myself out of debt. I owe family money for having paid my back taxes from a couple of years ago; I have credit card balances which I haven’t paid on in several months (am actually going through a debt consolidation place to help me with that, but they haven’t been able to work with me for awhile now since I’ve not been able to keep any money in my savings account designated to paying off those bills); my teeth and general health are bad and I can’t afford health, vision, or dental insurance; my vehicle is in dire need of repair and I can’t afford to take it in for a diagnosis let alone repairs; and my sob story and pity party list goes on and on…
I’m now considering myself to be a charity case and am asking for your help. If you or anybody you know can possibly help financially it would be much appreciated. And if it sounds like I’m asking for a free handout, basically I am. Yet I wouldn’t do so if I didn’t actually have an honest need to do so.
If financial help is not your thing, though, then I ask that you at least keep me in your thoughts and prayers so that things may soon improve for me (I am a firm believer in prayer and the fact that prayers get answered in one way or another). I’m tired of being stressed out because of finances. I’d like to be able to get back on track and to be on the road to financial freedom and to once again become that person I used to be (the one who was able to help others instead of the one who is now in need of being helped).
My financial needs and dreams at this point are to be able to pay off approximately $8,000 in debts owed to family and credit cards; be able to pay for car repairs and regular maintenance (to the tune of I don’t know how much, maybe hundreds, maybe even thousands); being able to afford health/dental insurance; being able to afford a real vacation (which is something I haven’t been able to do for many, many years); being able to afford to go to photography school and/or taking online classes, investing in some good camera equipment, and then being able to eventually start my own freelance photography business. There are so many needs and wants right now, and so little finances to do it all with!!!
Anyhow, all said, I’m figuring that I’m in need of $15,000 to $20,000 to get back on track. And like I said earlier, any amount of money you can possibly give (a little or a lot) would be much appreciated. I’m one who would be willing to do the same for you if our roles in life were reversed right now (assuming that you’re not in the same boat I am).
